Solid wood. EASY to "assemble"This is an amazing bed frame for the money. Solid wood. The easiest frame to install. No tools needed. Take out of box, unfold, screw in 6 legs middle legs already in and done I stuck felt cushions on bottom of legs. Mattress hasn't slipped a bit in 2 weeks. Very pleased. Seriously recommended.
