Much softer than expectedWas looking for a shaggy rug to add a touch of coziness to my family room, and this rug definitely added it I have another shaggy rug in another room from another company that has a more wooly feel, so that's what I was expecting. This rug, however, has more of a... soft teddy bear texture to it vs a wooly shagged feel so keep that in mind. It is extremely soft under your feet, which means if you rub too hard you can feel the under-layer of the rug but this is not a problem for us. I am not quite sure that the height is 2 inches, but the rug is definitely very full. I got it in Blue and Yellow and the blue is more of a teal blue with slight variances of hue throughout which is great as it makes it easier to match the decor . The yellow is more of a golden, almost a tad orange, yellow and is more solid in color.
