There are many other beds to choose from in the less than 300 range, rather than buying this for over 500. This one belongs at about a 200 price point. A nightmare to put together the headboard, mostly because the pieces are not cut correctly to fit. Both of the uprights on the headboard cracked when putting the cap on. I was gentle. They just don't make the parts so they fit together. Adding insult to injury, only one end of the center support bar is connected to the bed frame. The other end floats free, so once you put the bed together, you can't move it Most ridiculous design I have ever seen, and I've purchased a fair amount of furniture online. I ordered this bed because I liked the idea of the mattress fitting down inside the frame a bit so it won't move around. But even that is screwed up. The inside of the frame is too big for a standard queen mattress. Last but not least, they may use sustainably cut wood, but they also use the most toxic stain finish I've ever encountered, and they apparently don't let the stuff stop outgassing before they box the bed. I've been driven out of my bedroom for a few days it seems. I hope it won't take too long to stop outgassing, but who knows The only reason I rate this a 2 is because once you get your bed put together and made up, it looks pretty good, but only if you don't get close enough to see the cracks that form as you put it together. This bed is a loser. The only reason I don't send it back is because the boxes arrived in such poor shape that i have nothing to ship the bed back in. Junk. Go elsewhere.
