MSR: The pole is too large for a table.

The umbrella is nice, but the pole is too large for the holes in our patio tables. We have it freestanding in an ordinary heavy base, almost satisfactory, but the arrangement of very low support must put too much stress on the pole. I don t know how long it will last. I don t recommend the purchase unless your table has an outsized center hole. For a freestanding umbrella, buy one that comes with a supportive base.
