Real glass and it s beautiful.Perfect for me. Not too large to be overpowering and it s well made. Base is heavy no worries about it tipping over very well made. I did have fun putting it together trying to get the cord to come out where I wanted took a few tries but no big problem. Just don t get in a big hurry when assembling like I did.
