Works great over our kitchen island.I really like the brushed nickel finish on this light and the simple lines of the fixture. Goes well with stainless steel appliances. It fit our new kitchen well and throws quite a bit of light. Perfect over our island and would also look nice over a small kitchen nook/breakfast table, too. Comes with plenty of electrical cord/chain to hang it at your favorite level and was packaged well for shipping. I was skeptical of ordering this product online, but it arrived promply and safely. Installed quickly and easily with just a litte assembly required. Was pleasantly surprised when I saw this exact model a few weeks later in a home improvement store for about 70 more than what I paid on Amazon. Glad I made this purchase
