Customer reviewsGreat umbrella all around
This Rio 9-foot umbrella is also made under the Tommy Bahama brand same company , but it doesn't appear that either company is making them anymore. So, I was very happy to grab this one. I am aware that they generally get bad reviews, but I am not sure why. This purchase will be our second one of this product, but we wanted to grab another while they're available. Here are some of the real pluses: 9-foot size the option to either put straight up or slant, while staked to the ground very clever construction/anchoring options. In windy weather, we use the staked, anchored option quite often. On the other hand, we live in a community where, on some beaches, you cannot "block" the view, and angled umbrellas may be problematic. So, then we do the straight-up option. BTW, we've used our current 9-foot Rio umbrella for five years--on a very regular basis but, again, wanted to grab another before they run out. And, the price we paid at Amazon is cheaper than our original purchase 5 years ago.
