Bman: Disappointing, daunting, deficient

Based on my headline, you can tell I'm not happy with this purchase. I do take some responsibility in the fact that I didn't read the full product description where it said it needed to be assembled. It came in a box, in many, many pieces. I have put together furniture that has come in pieces before, but generally I like to buy things pre-assembled to avoid the hassle. The quality of the materials is DISAPPOINTING. The sides of the drawers are wood, but the bottoms are cheap, light material, I don't know what it is made of. A majority of the pieces consist of pressed wood and it is not sturdy as I expected and claimed in the description. I could have paid the same amount and bought another chest that was higher quality, but I made a mistake on picking this one. Putting the pieces together was DAUNTING and it took a long time. Labeling each piece with a letter that coincides with the manual as many other manufacturers do, would have been helpful. The dresser was DEFICIENT as I don't feel it will serve my needs comfortably and it's quality is at best mediocre. I don't typically write reviews like these and I've been purchasing from Amazon for many years, but I felt this needed to be shared. I don't want to go through the hassle of shipping it back. I will inform Amazon and file for a return to see what they advise. Hopefully, things work out for the best.
