Not bad if not being used as an everyday bed.The bed seems sturdy enough. The assembly instructions where horrible, thank goodness by husband is good about putting things together. The bed comes from Vietnam and the packaging was pretty beat up by the time it got to us. The bed had some scratches due to the poor packaging, but nothing too horrible and I didn't want the hassle of returning it. Frankly, coming for Viet Nam to California to Chicago, and finally to our house I am surprised it wasn't in worse shape. The bed is going to be used in spare bedroom. I think this bed will hold up ok for the purpose we are using it. If you are using this for a child as their bed, I would think about getting something else. This bed is made of cheap, soft pine with a veneer finish and won't take a lot of abuse. Watch the mattress height for the trundle, a pillow top mattress will be too tall for this. Give yourself an extra week to get this mattress. It got shipped to Chicago in the time frame that was listed, but I couldn't get until a week later because the final courier couldn't get it to me until then.
