I've had this chair for 3 1/2 years now and it's as good now as it was then, just a little dirtier. I wanted a nice comfortable computer chair that wasn't wheeled but I could still maneuver easily scoot back and forth with ease . Without the four rubbery plastic stands under the chair can take off or put on with some amount of effort and strength , this chair works wonders on carpet. It stays still with no worry of tipping in just about any way you choose to sit, unlike the wheeled chairs, but also scoots in and out of your desk with ease.
