Each rug is carefully hand-hooked, giving you a lasting piece for your home for years to come.
This collection of area rugs stay casual with the help of hand-hooked construction. While most area rugs have a sheared, smooth appearance, hand-hooked rugs leave yarn loops intact, giving them a unique look and texture. Hand-hooked rugs are crafted by artisan weavers using a meticulous construction method.
Hand-hooked rugs are built on a foundation cloth. A hooked tool is pushed through the cloth, grabs a strand of yarn on the other side, and pulls it through, creating a loop. The yarn is then knotted on the backside and the process is repeated until completion. The rug is finished with a protective backing adhered to the underside, adding extra security and durability.
A rug in the bedroom adds an extra layer of coziness. A large rug that fills most of the floor space is ideal. You can place the rug underneath the night stands, or let the rug extend a bit past the foot of the bed. The most important thing to consider is having a comfortable landing for your feet when climbing in and out of bed. Another economical solution is to add two runners on either side of the bed.
In the dining room, you'll always want your rug to extend well past the table and chairs, keeping chair legs from catching on the rug when pulled in and out. An 8 x 10 rug is a common choice under a rectangular dining table. A round rug is also a great option if you have a square or round dining table. 8 x 8 is typically a good size for a standard square table.
Kitchens get a lot of foot traffic, so a just small 2 x 3 rug in front of the sink keeps the space tidy while adding some support where it s needed. Alternatively, if you have a galley kitchen or an island, a runner makes a perfect floor covering for the full length of the space.
In the living room, you'll want the rug to either partially or completely extend under furniture. For an open floor plan, an area rug that fully extends under all of the furniture is a great way to define the space. An 8 x 10 rug or larger is usually ideal. If your space is smaller or your larger pieces of furniture are up against the wall, having a rug under just the front two legs of your largest pieces will make the room look larger. A 5 x 7 rug or larger will usually work for this arrangement.

Customer reviewsNot 'vibrant', Not soft either. ..Update, after vacuuming it seems brighter
Judging from 9 reviews, I purchased this rug for my front room, over the carpeting in same room. I loved the images of bright yellows , oranges and pinks The 9 reviews raved about how soft it was, how vibrant the colors were, how happy they were with the rug. Then I unwrapped it, it, at best, has very muted colors, not bright and lively, but muted, dull, not the reason I purchased the rug, I wanted the sharp, vibrant colors as shown on the listing. About the softness, if you're accustomed to walking on hardwood or cement, yes, it is in comparison to those. But it's a flat woven rug, not cut, and not soft. Were I able to touch and feel this rug before buying, I would not have purchased it.
