What is the advantage of this Mohawk Home Huxley Urban Grid Distressed Aztec Style Woven Shag Area Rug?
Machine woven rugs are created on high powered industrial looms by simultaneously interlacing face yarns and backing yarns in order to craft a completed woven product. The base fabric is made up of warp and weft yarns that are woven to create the finished product. This type of production eliminates the need for a secondary backing.
Also known as polypropylene or by the Mohawk Industries brand name of Permastrand, olefin is noted for its unique fade and moisture resistance. Olefin is also colorfast, generates low levels of static electricity and is stain resistant. Olefin s fibers have the lowest density of all manufactured yarn giving olefin rugs a lightweight quality that makes them an ideal choice for indoor/outdoor rugs.

While an important safety precaution to prevent accidental slippage of your rug, you might be surprised to learn a rug pad can actually help protect the life of your rug and the flooring beneath it.
Our rug pads can easily be cut with scissors to match the exact size and shape of your rug so installation is a breeze
Rug pads can help your rug stay newer looking longer by providing a soft, supportive cushion underneath that keeps the rug securely in place and absorbs some of the shock of daily wear-and-tear.

Customer reviewsBeautiful rug, potent smell--make sure you can air it out somewhere for a few days.
This is a very nice rug. Pretty design, soft shag. I got it while it was listed at a very low price, and I now think perhaps that might have been because it was a slightly irregular one. Some of the threads were much longer than the others, and there were a few loose pieces of thread not attached to anything. I trimmed the really long threads just because I have dogs, and can't take the chance they will snag a nail or something, and I vacuumed it a few times to get the loose threads and help get rid of the chemical 'new rug' smell.
