Another poorly designed product from China. It's sturdy enough but it's only painted cast aluminum. The back plate that goes against the wall has a ridge that doesn't clear the box is was being mounted to so it's only touching in a very small area. Grind the ridge off if you want a flusher and tighter fit. The glass lense that drops into the guard does not fit at all. It doesn't look like it was even made for that fixture. The lense has a wraparound gasket to make the socket water tight but because of the bad fit you can't tell if you are getting a good seal or not. It was easy enough to get the back plate up in spite of it not fitting the electrical box correctly but it was plain aggravation the rest of the way so I totally agree that you should put the best and longest lasting bulb you can find because you only want to do it once in a lifetime. I really get torqued when somebody makes a crappy product when they could have made a better one without it costing a single yuan more and this is one of those examples. I like the looks of it but for the money it could have bee a lot better.
