J. H: Remote is faulty

We installed this fan in our bedroom less than 2 years ago. The was not working well so I replaced the battery. Ne battery did not solve the issue, the remote now does not work at all. Of course the warranty is up, so I now have to buy a new remote. Wouldn't recommend this, because the fan and light are useless without the remote. There are no controls on the fan, so you absolutely need a working remote.
