Making an HVAC system more efficient, a ceiling fan operating in reverse pushes the warm air that has collected at the ceiling to the floor, while simultaneously pulling the cool air up. In the winter months, this allows you to turn down the thermostat and save energy and money

Equipped with a 6-speed DC motor, this fan consumes up to 70 less energy than other fan types.

Airflow is easily regulated with the included 6-speed hand-held and wall-mountable remote control with reverse function or the wireless Decora-style wall control in white.

MJJ: Defective control system - poor QA

Update 3/7/18: I left a message and the company called me back promptly the next day. Diagnosis of faulty remote requires removal of entire fixture, requiring electrician. I shared the concern of needing to pay electrician three times original install, diagnostics, replacement install and to just send me replacement so electrician's diagnostic visit isn't wasted. Technician told me he was going to email me with next steps for replacement but never did. I'm returning the fan via Amazon. It was a beauty though if yours works
