quality lighting, beautiful patina and designThe lamp is aesthetically very nicely designed despite its utilitarian purpose. It has a warm light that is quite bright don't look directly into it but not fluorescent-bluey-looking and never glaring. Love the touch switch on the stem which responds to a minimal pressure. The bronze patina blends in so harmoniously with my room decor that when it is turned off, the lamp it is barely noticeable in the room. The LED light panel is high quality. It radiates from a round flat pancake-like head and beams onto a 3-foot range covering my chair and reading table. It has three settings that are perfect for reading, writing, and sewing. For my aging eyes, this floor lamp is mainly a reading lamp that sits behind my chair. For me, the brightest setting is best for fine sewing or very small print. The medium setting is great for laptop screen/keyboard and normal book reading. The lowest setting is so warm and glowing that it works to leave on as general room lighting. Very pleased.
