To open this thing and change the light bulb you must watch a video. You will not be able to do it without watching the video. Save you and future generations much headache and frustration and do not buy this globe. Also the video shows a person literally sitting at a table changing the bulb. I d like to challenge this company and show someone doing it up on the top a ladder reaching from below it. Don t buy this The engineer was defiantly a moron who has no concept of functional engineering. Guaranteed he never leaves a computer to try his ideas out
