Beautiful but not for hallways/foyers with 8 ft. ceilingsThis light is very pretty in person and looks high end. However, I bought this for my foyer and we have an older house with low 8 ft ceilings....this light has the pole above it that attaches to the ceiling. This pole cannot be modified to shorten it to fit the height of my ceilings....it hangs down too far. Sadly, it will not work So, if you have normal 8ft ceilings...do not buy this for high traffic areas that you need to walk beneath it. You ll hit your head on it
