Herd: Beep...beep...beeeeeeep...beep...beep...beep...

The fan looks great in a 10 X10 room. But don t kid yourself and think the beeping won t bother you. I thought how bad can it be, we ll only turn it on or off a couple of times per day Well it beeps when you turn the light on, it beeps when you turn the light off, it beeps when you turn the fan on, it beeps when you turn off the fan. And in a small room the beep is horrifically loud. What in the world was Hunter thinking. I can tell you one thing, I will always read reviews very closely and if a fan beeps, I don t care how cool it looks it s not going to be ordered by us. So with all that said I would have given it a 3 star rating but the motor is fairly audible as well. We have 5 ceiling fans in our upstairs area and this is only one that will keep you up at night while running. For me I can think of it as background noise like I have a clock radio that makes a fan sound effect, for others, I m not so sure how they will feel. If someone figures out how to turn off the beep the fan will get a 4-5 star rating from me, but oh the humanity...that beep It was very easy to install so that s something.
