Customer reviewsReally nice design but crappy execution
I'm very sad to have to write a bad review for this ottoman because it has the potential to be a great piece. It's a great size with nice upholstery and storage. But it arrived in terrible shape, although the shipping box seemed fine. Just very poorly built and assembled. Front panel under the upholstery was bowed in, as if either broken in two or maybe two separate panels bracketed together to make a longer panel for some reason and very poorly fitted. In addition, the lid itself was a good quarter to a half inch off center. When the lid itself was lifted the entire piece creaks and groans and shifts. The hinges were clearly not attached correctly. Normally I would just remove the lid and redo the hinges. But the bowed panel was a deal breaker as it would require removing and reattaching the upholstery so returning item for refund as a replacement won't arrive when I need it to and I really don't trust that the replacement would be any better.
