Steve Wright: Ceiling fan for Boathouse

I just received this fan and had it professionally installed. It was installed in the roof truss s of my boathouse and is operating inside the trusses. First of all, we did not want a fan that was ornate, and had a tacky light. We wanted a simple 3 speed with a pull string. After all, how often do you change the fan speed. After trying to buy a similar fan at Hunter, I finally gave up after contacting their so called tech support and explaining to them my application. When I called Emerson's tech support, I got a very knowledgeable individual who helped me with my application constant moisture and steered me in the right direction. This fan is easy to install in my case, we had to fabricate the support , looks great, is very quiet, perfectly balanced, and looks like it has been in a pool hall for 50 years. I would highly recommend this fan and feel that should I have a problem, that Emerson would stand behind their warranty. Purchased for apx 200 on Amazon.
