This is a wonderful light I am a quilter, I started having difficulty seeing well when sewing at night or in lower lights. I had purchased Ott Lights in the past but they don't illuminate a large area. This light gives off bright light over a larger area. I am now able To sew at all hours and can black thread on black fabric. You can position the arm and rotate it to illuminate the area you are working on. I highly recommend it
