Excellent bar stools for the money had it for 2 years nowWe ordered 2 of these for the kitchen island which is about 8 feet long and 3 feet wide. Ideally we wanted 3, but they only sell as pairs. These stools look great and for the hundred and twenty dollars I paid it's worth it. Very easy to put together. Real easy to clean and maintain as well. We've had it for almost 4 months now and have got compliments from everyone. They swivel well footrests are great, rise up fine and are comfortable to sit on. Didn't measure how much it will rise, but when lifted all the way up they are too high for the island counter. I would say it will hold up to 250 pounds 110-120 kgs easily and will last for a while. It's very stable when you sit on it we have it on carpet floor . However, the stool is not very heavy and an infant/toddler can knock it down. So keep that in mind if you have young children. Overall 5 stars and recommended.
