Customer reviewsEnchanting Lamp Shade, Off-Color Stalk and Base
The colorful Tiffany-style shade, this lamp's main attraction, is indeed captivating, especially at night with the lights activated. The lamp's stalk and base, however, are a curious, difficult-to-match goldish-brown hue, a tint which clashes with the honey oak flooring and dark mahogany cabinets in the study in which the lamp is being used. I mention this in full recognition of the fact that not every buyer will place this lamp on honey oak-stained flooring, next to dark mahogany bookshelves. I thought it relevant to offer this observation b/c I've never seen the particular hue of this lamp's stalk and base. Matching this lamp's base and stalk against wood of any variety or color is going to be a dice roll. I imagine the lamp would look just fine on a light, neutral shade of carpet or perhaps against a very light shade of wood, such as unstained bamboo or maple.
