Jessica Manley: Could be worse

Overall, the price and appearance of the bed from afar is nice. I love the color, fabric and studding but there are some issues. My mattress is rounded at the corners so there is a huge visible gap in between the headboard and frame see pic . The same for foot of the mattress and frame see pic . You can see the slatts. I added a bed skirt to cover those areas but it takes away from the sleek look. There is some creaking when I climb onto or sit on my bed. Tightening the slatts/screws with a power drill did not help with the creaks. Lastly, the headboard is not tufted or very tall. There is an unevenness on one side of my headboard where it should be flush due to the poor placement of pre drilled holes and poorly sewn flap on the other side. see pic
