Well, so far, so good. Assembly was identical to an IKEA assembly, so if you can follow directions and heed the strong warnings from other reviewers about what to do before you put the box together, you will be fine. My boyfriend and I put these together side by side in 2.5 hours. We needed some inexpensive nightstands to get us through until we find some "real" wood and I gotta say for 81 a pop these deliver. The finish looks fragile and we have our brown sharpie ready to fill in any punctures through the very delicate appearing veneer, but overall if you aren't super careless you'll probably be fine with these. At quick and not so quick glance, these look expensive and very stylish. I also must say something that no one else seems to have picked up on and you can never, ever have a wet glass on top of these because the delicate finish on the top will likely be destroyed so have some really good impenetrable coasters ready
