Our Platform Beds employ a unique dual height slat kit and bed frame support system that eliminates the need for a foundation. Atlantic Furniture Platform Beds can be set in a high position to be used with a mattress only, or a low setting to accommodate for a mattress and foundation set. With both height settings and the unique dual-height slat kit, these beds are truly the most versatile beds on the market.
Atlantic Furniture Traditional Beds include three to four foundation support boards which support the mattress and foundation. Choose from our entire line of solid hardwood headboards, footboards, and bed frames to find the look that best suits your room.
Clean lines and a traditional look make the Madison Bed a sophisticated addition to any room, seamlessly incorporating storage space without sacrificing style. Problem with delivery -- rails received were the wrong color ...Problem with delivery -- rails received were the wrong color -- but the distributor was quick to rectify and send new ones. We used the bed with the wrong color rails in the meantime, which will be a bit of a hassle to undo the bed and replace but the construction is straightforward enough that it should not take too long. Bed frame overall is solid and was simple to put together, especially the drawers which are free rolling on the ground under the bed rather than on a rack/rail system. That feature should be more clearly communicated in the product description -- the drawers are independent of the bed itself and require that the bed rails are set up in the high setting, which also means the box spring is no longer viable because at that high setting a combo box spring and mattress sits way too high on the bed.
