Jason B: Great desk

This is a REALLY nice desk for the money I wanted an Arts Crafts style desk because I like the style and simplicity. The problem I ran into over and over is that the distance between the floor and the desk was too low. I don't understand why we are still designing furniture for people who are no taller than 5'5". This desk is perfect because I can actually fit my legs under it even with them crossed. I'm a 6 foot tall guy and when I'm working I'm constantly shifting positions. This desk has plenty of room for that. I did not install the center drawer/keyboard tray or whatever it is because I wanted the space. The piece looks perfectly fine without it you would never know that the drawer is supposed to be there. This piece is mostly real wood and some of it solid. The desk top is a veneer over some kind of pressed stuff, but you would never know it to look at it or feel it. It provides plenty of room and it was super simple to assemble. If you need a simple but very nice looking desk for not a lot of money, go for this one
