JaysFan: They don t make them like this anymore

Our family has never been fancy about eating meals, as many families did where I grew up we ate most often at the kitchen table and it was fully acceptable to eat our meals while watching TV. So my house doesn t have a dining room, and what we call a dining table is really more of a utility table in a nook next to the bay window. The table and chairs were inherited, and they re really not that old, maybe 30 years and at the time I m sure they weren t expensive but what makes them a keeper is that they are 100 solid beechwood, not a hint of plastic or imitation MDF or other composite materials. We like the old worn and comfortable look.
