SPRINGS DON'T HELP THIS CHAIRI bought this chair because it had coil springs. After years of office chairs without springs that flatten out on seat, I thought this would be the answer since car seats and some sofas with springs do not bottom out. The springs are only in the small center section and not on the side cushions so you sit in the middle and no support on the sides and you rock side to side throwing your back out of alignment. Also, the "springs" are very short and no strength to them...feels like they are plastic and flimsy. They flatten right out when you sit down. Where the base attaches, the base is too small for the chair and so it is unstable and rocks side to side as well. At first I thought the leather was really nice...very soft and smooth. After a week, the arms and back of chair have spots where leather rubbed off. Personally, I wish the chair could be raised higher than it does. I wrote to send it back because it is so uncomfortable and so many problems. They said I was too late. So I am stuck with it I guess. I have two cushions on chair to sit on since the padding is minimal and the springs useless. I wish I had picked something better. I am not over weight so that is not the problem. I would never buy again.
